My idea doesn’t fit into one of the 3 focus areas? Are there other ways to secure resources?

We will prioritize projects that fit into one of the three focus areas. However, we may consider funding a few creative projects that don’t quite connect to the focus areas. If yours isn’t awarded through Austin Ed Fund, you may consider applying for an external grant opportunity or try using some AISD approved crowdfunding sources such as DonorsChoose and Livingtree.

If my project is awarded, how soon will funds be available?

Funds will be transferred to campuses on August 12-13.

Will all projects that get awarded receive the full amount requested in their application?

All projects will go through a robust review process. Some projects will receive full funding. Other projects will receive partial funding.

If I applied for a two-year grant, will I receive funding both years?

For two-year grants, applicants will receive all funding at the beginning of the year 1, which is to be spent across both years. No additional funding will be received at the beginning of of year 2.
