About Us

Our Mission

Austin Ed Fund serves as a catalyst for generating and distributing external resources for the support of excellence in the Austin Independent School District (Austin ISD).

What We Do

Austin Ed Fund supports programs and initiatives that:

  • Help students Excel in the classroom
  • Embrace innovative approaches
  • Expand learning capacity in the classroom
  • Encourage community support and maintain strategic alliance with AISD

Who We Are

Austin Ed Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by an independent Board of Directors made up of business, community and education leaders. The current members of the Board are listed here.

Originally named Austin Public Education Foundation (APEF), Austin Ed Fund was created over two decades ago to support and enhance the work of the Austin Independent School District.

We are a cross-section of influential leaders in our community united by a common belief: the importance of serving as champions for our large urban public school district, to celebrate and support the many successes of AISD’s students.
